Educational Technology Advancement in Schools
Disparity
in educational technology advancement in schools of industrialized first world country
(such as the U.S., England, Japan, Singapore, Australia) and a developing
country, namely the Philippines.

The
inequality of educational technology advancement in every country affects the
people and its nation. No budget allotted, means no facilities, no facilities,
means there is no support given. It also means that the government did not take
much time to pay attention when it comes to this matter. It is not only for the
sake of belonging to the other countries as they have been an industrialized
country for the past years until now.
Here
in the Philippines, we have been bagged as the developing country beforehand
until at present, but never been a country that have already developed and progressive.
Isn’t it praiseworthy? There are only a few schools who have facilities that is
sufficient to use in daily classroom discussion or daily needs of every student
as they are a part of the 21st Century education, which is having
the use of newly acquired technology to sustain on the necessity of new
learning, especially that the country is already implementing the K-12
curriculum. A lot of schools do not have enough resources to use in day-to-day
classroom learning, the fact that there are a lot of us who are already
knowledgeable when it comes to using high technology. Accepting the fact that, our
country is being compared to the other countries’ success since we are years away
from their advancement such as the U.S. of A. who is already developing few years
after the Philippines is discovered by Magellan, and now an industrialized,
progressive, and an influential country.
As
a youth, a student, and a future educator, we must make a move on how we are
going to develop our technology in education. It is not just about competing to
the other country’s ability to produce and enhanced education, but to be
knowledgeable on how we are going to mold the learning of the children/students
in the near future. The fact that, every thing has advantages and
disadvantages, and it is inevitable. We will just embrace change and bridge the
gap.
To
make my future students learn, I must start learning within myself. Experience is
the best teaching strategy, what I know is what I should teach. If there is no
enough technology to use, then make use of what is traditionally used. Although
we are not wealthy enough to provide high technology objects, we are wealthy in
molding the knowledge of every student. Make them understand the idea that life
is fair enough to be unfair.
